We had a full week....preparing our home and hearts for resurrection Sunday!
Jonas was home all week for spring break which we all enjoyed, not to mention the slower pace.
Several years ago while reading an Eric Carle book, Walter the Baker, we learned that pretzels were a common food for the early church during lent. Further reading taught us that a monk created the shape as a symbol of praying arms. The pretzels were made of unleavened dough, as was customary. I thought it would be fun to make pretzels and remind the kids of the ancient tradition......

And other traditional customs took place too:)
We donned our Sunday best
(And for memory sake, the bow ties were made in 10 min. a piece, but the dress took a bit longer. Note to self, start making the Easter dress a month in advance next year. I might have been up really late finishing the night before.)
And on Sunday filled the bungalow with friends for feasting and celebration for
what Christ has done. It is finished......amen!

You MADE that sweet dress on Saturday night?! :) That Amy Butler fabric is one of my faves. I'm so glad you had a lovely Easter-the kids are getting so big!
