A week ago, while I was brushing her tangles, Luci announced she wanted short hair.
I told her to think about it more and if she still wanted short hair in a week, I would cut it.
(I was hoping it was a passing desire.)
But every day for a week, she said, "Cut my hair short mama!"

So yesterday she got her wish. I tried not to cry as I cut the lovely locks that have
grown since she was born. And I realized that her "I want to be just like mama" phase might be coming to a close as she figures out who SHE is.

And I realized her decision was healthy and good.
And I have to admit, the cut is pretty darn cute on her!
