Reunion with the Minnaar crew

Dr. Rader left us last week for a 6 day whirlwind trip to China for a conference and speaking engagement. While he was talking peptides with other brainy types and exploring the Forbidden City in Beijing, the kids and I were in survival mode. This time, I wised up and took to the road with the wee-ones....we needed a change of environment to keep us all from being grumpy.
To Michigan we went.....and enjoyed a few days with our good ol friends the Minnaars.

Ive been friends with Carissa and Nick since high school...we even did the college years together. They know me well, and I them.
So being with them while my main squeeze was gone was wonderful and a welcome distraction. We enjoyed being in their new home, visiting my "home" church, watching the kids play together, rooting for MSU basketball, and late night talks. I left grateful for our time together...

Thanks friends...we miss you already....
