The blizzard of '07 is what the newscasters would have us believe we've been trying to live through for the past 36 hours or so. Yes we have snow, but lots of it seems like hype and there just aren't enough plows to keep everything clear. In any case classes at IUPUI were canceled yesterday and today so I've had 2 snow days! This has been a boon for Jen because our little man can easily be a demon when he gets trapped inside for extended periods of time. One can only cycle between shooting the ball, drawing with crayons and playing with play dough a finite number of times in one day.
We took Jonas sledding on Sunday at the park around the corner and think he loves it. Jen got cold waiting at the top of the hill, Jonas liked the thrill and I got the workout of carrying sled and boy back up the hill. With the foot of new snow on the ground he doesn't understand why we can't go back outside into the sleet and howling wind to play again. If it warms up maybe we'll venture out this afternoon to avoid a few cycles of ball, crayon, play dough.
