We made it through our second night, and Elliott is doing great. We're waiting for the docs to round and hope to get our ticket home. Yesterday they clamped the nephrostomy tube which forced urine to travel down the ureters to the bladder. The output to the catheter since then has increased, which means the new connection is functioning! E's pain has been under control, although there are times when I can tell he is really sore. We've transitioned off the Morphine and Valium and are managing the pain with Tylenol for the most part. He will be on an antibiotic for another month or so too.
Thanks again for all your prayers...we're seeing them answered one by one....
