Livin' it up on the Leelenau Pennisula: Part II

We've been home and week now, and Im only now getting a chance to blog
more of our trip. Laundry and unpacking on Monday. Huge storm taking out
our power Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Nothing like a welcome home:)

Anyway, a few more glimpses of our time up north. We are really thankful for the time
we had to rest and restore as a family. Thanks Grampie and Gramie for putting up
with us for that long. I have a feeling it took a few days for them to "rest and restore"
from our being there:)
Sleeping bear dunes. Jonas ran up and down it several times, but there were
others shaming their family members into climbing it by pointing out that, "that big, pregnant woman could do it". Glad I could inspire. I was pretty proud of myself for climbing it actually.

S'mores at G&G's backyard firepit.

Belly at 8 months. Its even bigger now. I'll prove it with another picture soon:)
Thats the porch we spent a LOT of time on.....gorgeous views and breezes.

Jonas with wind-spiked hair after a ride with grampie. Somehow my dad's
hair went unaffected by the wind.

Hiking at a nearby nature reserve.

The kids enjoying the infamous Moomers ice cream. The dairy cows who donate the milk are at pasture right next door...its that fresh! My favorite....Coffee toffee. TO DIE FOR. The kids
love Super MOO, my least favorite.

The caricature that my folks got done at the Venetian festival. My dad
HATES this picture and probably wants to kill me for putting it on my
blog. Thankfully, the next time he sees me I'll have a new grandchild for
him as a peace offering.

Looks like you had an amazing time! Love the picture in the cherry post of Lucy by the bucket of cherries. What a great deal you get for picking them. Yum.
