This has been a full week. Not the kind that leaves you just waiting for next week, desperate to get through, but the kind that leaves you better at the end.
On Wednesday, we gathered with our community group to celebrate Seder supper together.
In Jewish fashion we tasted the bitter herb, remembering the bitterness of slavery, that the Lord rescued the Israelites from Egypt with the Passover, and redeemed a people for Himself. But we also celebrated what Christ has done, how He will pass over us again when He returns, freeing us from the slavery of sin.
It was a great dinner. The bungalow was bursting at the seams with 24 people,
the kids were crazy, the food was delicious. We are so thankful for these people, these friends
that God has given us as family here in Indy.

Stefanii cooked the lamb (too much for a former vegetarian to attempt!) and Heathercovered so many details for me! So fun.

This is what we get when we ask Lucille to smile...at least she's trying to be compliant.
Jonas was very diligent about dying the eggs....Luci just wanted to eat them....couldnt blame her really...YUM! Afterward I made "easter egg" sandwiches (egg salad).
Dressing up and dying eggs were both fun, but the heart of our celebration today didnt get captured in pictures. Gathering with our spiritual family this morning to worship a risen Savior was so much better. Singing "Up from the grave He arose," believing that Jesus really did conquer death in that act of love.
